A few months ago I moved my family into a new home. Our new home is about twice the size of my previous home so that means twice the bills. Being a techie by trade I have always been enamored by all of the latest tech trends and the new smart home or connected home devices have always piqued my interest. Unfortunately most of these devices are really expensive and many don't really serve any functional purpose except save you a few steps to flip a switch or something. I have never been one to purchase the latest tech just to have it so I have held off up until now.
Recently I have noticed some smart devices that not only connect your home but claim to provide a pretty significant cost savings. This is mainly what I will be talking about in this blog. The smart devices that I have, want or will purchase that are saving me money. Now that is smart.
